Maximilian Jürgens, LL.M. (Münster)

Maximilian Jürgens holds a master's degree in medical law and is a specialist lawyer for both banking and capital markets law as well as medical law.

In medical law, the focus of his work is on advising physicians, MVZs and hospital operators on issues of commercial law, regulatory law and professional law.

In addition, Maximilian Jürgens advises on pharmaceutical and medical device law, in particular on legal issues relating to new examination and treatment methods (NUB), NUB fees, advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) and the in-house production of medical devices. He also has expertise in pharmacy law and advising hospital pharmacies.

Maximilian Jürgens has several years of extensive litigation experience in disputes between health care providers and payers. He represents physicians and hospital owners in enforcing and defending claims for reimbursement against payers nationwide before social and civil courts. He supports hospital operators in structural feature audits by the Medical Service.

As a specialist in banking and capital markets law, Maximilian Jürgens advises clients on regulatory issues under the German Banking Act, the German Payment Services Supervision Act and the German Capital Investment Code. He represents issuers of asset investments in prospectus approval proceedings of BaFin and advises on legal issues in connection with the German Asset Investment Act and the Ordinance on Asset Investment Sales Prospectuses.

Maximilian Jürgens is a member of the Medical Law and Banking and Capital Markets Law working groups of the German Bar Association.
